Elena and Damon take a trip to Georgia, where Damon surprises Bree, an ex-girl of his. She tries to help him open the tomb and free Elena. At the same time, Damon is surprised by someone who is trying to take revenge on him for his past misdeeds. In order to help Bonnie overcome her fear of magic, Stefan reveals some of his experience to her Grams. Jeremy meets a cute, geeky girl Anna while they are at the library, who has her own theories on the mystical history of Mystic Falls. As Stefan waits for Damon to return, he feels that the news will alter their world forever.
